Shooting a short... With all of you?

Sorry I have been very snowed under aswell... MD'ing a production around here and it's all getting very hectic. Will keep you updated - will try to get round to it in the next few days.

Actually, don't bother. I have all Saturday available due to a cancelled appointment and will assemble the thing there and then, come hell or high water, using your old score.

Hopefully I can remove that glare somehow (or at least reduce it...).

Ok, well if so please keep the score very low in the mix as thats how I intended. Also on the last cue try and fade it in as it comes in a bit harsher than it was originally meant to.

Update: edit is finished, just need to mix the audio together which I can hopefully do at some point during the week. Does anyone know where I can transfer the finished film back from disk onto DigiBeta tape without paying an arm and a leg in London? The only place I am aware of is Stanley's and they RIP you off like there's no tomorrow.

Update:

The sound mix is now finished as well. However, audio and video drift apart during playback (very annoying!) so I have to fix that first. Otherwise our short is ready to go.

Couldn't find a way to get rid of the halo satisfactory so it stayed in the picture. Doesn't look great but could be worse. Note to self: don't use NDF filters gaffer-taped over a camera if you can't see certain impurities on the B/W viewfinder.

Would you believe it - the bloody short is now finally FINISHED!

I have sent emails to all participants and will sent them a copy as soon as they submit their preferred shipping address to me (I prefer to ask about the address eacht time I send out the copies as to catch people who might have moved in the meantime).

Rob/Vlad, jb, Chance1234: Please let me know what you wish to do with the short - I have no objections to make it available to the forum participants here f.o.c. online.

People who are thoroughly professional:

jb (Director): for providing expert direction and ensuring a smooth day of shooting and a timely wrap as well as helping out on the script and paying his dues
Chance1234 (DOP + Make-Up): for not only lighting the set expertly but also making the actors look good and also adding some well-needed ideas to the script and paying his dues

People who need to try harder:

myself (Camera + Production): I got the thing going and financed most of it but the delay in getting the finished product out was appalling. I also need to improve my editing skills as the finished product still looks a bit rough around the edges even though it took me nearly half a year to finish it.
kigo (Storyboarding): Beautiful storyboards but only for half the script and no payment (hence no credit in the final film)
Vlad the Impaler/.rob (Score): Miscommunications resulted in a delayed shipment of the score which could have been improved itself, but dues were paid and a score was provided in the end
Webdude (Helping Out/Web Admin): Appreciate the enthusiasm but due to nonpayment no participation was possible

Waste of time:

Brooks Productions (Editing): dropped out with no clear reason given and did not pay nor provide valid input despite initial enthusiasm
Vertigo (Title and Visual Effects): ditto
curtinparloe (Sound Mixer and Boom Operator): ditto
